Mary Regina "Jean" (Mason) Scott died Aug. 12, 2008 in her Arbutus home. She was 90.
After graduating from Seton High School in 1936, Mrs. Scott worked for the telephone company.
She traveled widely, including Germany, Austria, Spain, France and Hawaii.
Because Mrs. Scott was always focused on her family, she looked forward to participating at gatherings in honor of birthdays, christenings and holidays.
She was also an avid fan of Tiger Woods.
Stanley Scott Sr. preceded his wife in death in 1995.
Surviving relatives include her children, Stanley Scott Jr. with spouse Maria, of Baltimore; Barbara Stacy with Gerry, of Spring Hills, Fla.; Carol Stromberg with Mark, of Ellicott City; Maureen "Reenie" Semanick with Tom, of Ferndale; and Terry Freed with Joe, of Finksburg.
She was the grandmother of 24 and counted 50 great-grandchildren.
Hubbard Funeral Home scheduled visitation hours.
Mrs. Scott is remembered for her deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered for her on Aug. 15, a Marian feast as well as Mrs. Scott's birthday. Joseph Lacey, S.J. presided in St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church, Woodstock.
Burial followed in Crest Lawn Gardens, Marriottsville.
