The romance in their relationship didn't end with Todd Canter's April proposal to Vicki Matter on the shores of the Lakes with Wildflower as a witness - it just moved to a larger body of water. After Vicki's extensive research on wedding locales, the couple decided to tie the knot on the shores of the Caribbean at the Buccaneer Resort, an old sugar plantation on St. Croix dating from the 1700s.

With the crashing waves at their backs and a tropical sunset overhead, they exchanged vows in an abandoned sugar mill that has been transformed into an elegant wedding venue. The reception followed under a canopy of stars over the windowless and roofless structure, while classical Spanish music serenaded the festivities.

Prior to their wedding, they celebrated with the Canter family in Ohio, and after the nuptials, they celebrated with their Baltimore friends, including neighbors Dan and Claire Reed (co-conspirators in Todd's proposal plot), Carl and Susan Scheir, Harve and Bonnie Hunt, and former neighbors and matchmakers Sarah McHale and Richard Shofer.

Sarah missed the Caribbean ceremony because she was in Las Vegas competing in the Ms. Senior USA pageant, representing her new home state as Ms. Senior Pennsylvania 2004.

> It was standing-room-only and standing ovations for the cast of Roland Park Country School's production of "The Sound of Music."Two sets of look-alikes, twins Billy and Josh Siems and Natalie and Isabella Thomas, alternated scenes in their roles as Von Trapp children, while Preston Suan and Louisa Erlich performed as singletons.
