Marcelina L. Sosa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Florentino C. Sosa of Baltimore, was wed to Ryan T. McGirr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. McGirr of Salem, Ore., on Sept. 8.
The bride is a graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School and Dickinson College, where she earned a B.A. in English. She is currently employed by F&G Life Insurance Co. in Baltimore.
The groom is a graduate of South Salem High School and Dickinson College, where he earned a B.S. degree in computer science. He is currently employed with Morningstar Systems, a technical consulting firm, located in Owings Mills.
The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore. The Rev. Timothy B. Klunk officiated. The ceremony was followed by a reception at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville.
The honor attendants were Joan Antony and Daryl Puryear. Other attendants included Marlo Mewherter, Vivian Garcia-Arnold, Brenna McGirr, sister of the groom; Robby Graham; Robby Fredricks; Greg Fredricks; and Manuel Mesa III, brother of the bride. The flower girl was Katelin Alisea, cousin of the bride.
After a honeymoon on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, the couple will reside in Catonsville.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Salisbury University and the University of Delaware. She is employed by Texas A&M.
The future groom is a graduate of Widener University, the University of Delaware and is attending Texas A&M University in the Ph.D graduate program in the department of entomology.
