> Jacqueline Nicole Harper of Cockeysville, a 1999 graduate of Hereford High, has been accepted at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. Harper graduated with honors from the University of Maryland-College Park. She is the daughter of Michael and Deborah Harper of Cockeysville.
Military
> Army National Guard Master Sgt. Glenn A. Beares completed two weeks of required annual training at Camp Pendleton, Virginia Beach, Va. The soldier is a member of the Maryland National Guard assigned to the Joint Forces Headquarters, 5th Regiment based in Baltimore.
Beares is an operations supervisor with 29 years of military service. His wife, Sharon, is the daughter of Buddy Echelberger of Upperco. The sergeant is a 1976 graduate of North Harford High School.
> Hugh C. Miller, son of Lloyd and Marguerite Miller of Monkton, has entered his junior year at the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Organizations
> Benjamin Proctor Jr., formerly of Stoneleigh, was elected a Member-at-Large of the Executive Committee of the General Society of Maylower Descendants at its 37th General Congress meeting in Plymouth, Mass. on Sept. 13.
A former governor of the Maryland Society, he is the first from that society to be elected to national office. Proctor and his wife Mary currently live in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Proctor children, Benjamin Proctor III of Parkton, Pamela Criscitiello of Anneslie and Michael of Powhatan, Va., are all life members of the Society.
